6/2/2009 - The Film Look

River's Edge acquired a new piece of equipment to aid in still higher quality video production. The SGblade is a 35mm SLR lens adapter used to emulate the shallow depth of field normally associated with motion picture cameras. Utilizing selective depth, certain parts of the picture can be in sharp focus, drawing a viewer's attention to them as well as providing a more aesthetic look. The SGblade, together with our full set of Nikkor prime lenses, your next production can be more filmic, enabling it to stand out against the crowd.

         
        The video above was shot at St. Olaf College with the SGblade and a 50mm Nikkor lens.


4/7/2009 - Northfield Police Department

    


River's Edge has been working on a documentary for several months now, capturing footage of the Northfield Police Department on patrol and in action. Following several officers in their duties, the documentary will provide an inside look at the men and women serving the people of Northfield, MN. The release date is set to be in early March, utilizing television, video, and web distribution channels.
